Advocacy Coaching...

Diabetes Advocacy is proud to now be able to offer Advocacy Coaching to its readers.

Advocacy coaching is for the average person who wants to make a difference.

Do you need to be a lawyer to be an advocate? No.  You just need a passion, drive and a concrete plan to get you to your goal.

Barb has spent many years successfully advocating for changes for those people living with diabetes in Canada.  She has asked for the help of governments and bureaucracies of all sizes and had achieved many goals.  Now, she is willing to share with you strategies that work!

If you or your group would like more information on how to better advocate to achieve your goal, contact Barb for individual or group meetings at reasonable rates.

More about Barb...

photoTrained by Certified Coaches Federation, life coach Barb Wagstaff is expanding Diabetes Advocacy with the goal of helping to empower people living with diabetes to lead less stressful, more fulfilling lives.

When Barb's then two year old son was diagnosed with Type 1 diabetes in March of 2000, she knew that her purpose in life was to help people living with this disease--to cope, to learn, and to be healthy.  Through the Diabetes Advocacy website and blog, she has made that mission the focus of her career.  Already equipped with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Psychology, Barb still felt that she needed additional tools to help people living with diabetes reach their goals, dreams and optimal health.  She discovered coaching and has found it to be a powerful, transformative process.

Note from Barb...

"Being a diabetes life coach is a dream come true for me. I know what a struggle it can be to live with diabetes.  I understand the heartache, the frustration and the depression that can come with this disease.  Helping people to get past those issues and bearing witness to the transformations in their lives is incredibly rewarding.  It is such an exhilarating feeling to be part of such a process and I thoroughly love what I do! Making the decision to be coached is the first step.  After that, we can collaborate to create an individualized care plan for your journey to a healthier, more peaceful life with diabetes.  I invite you to contact me today to talk about how I can help you."
